You are able to independently and anonymously submit a sample for testing to the WEDINOS project by downloading, printing and completing the ‘Sample and Effects’ form and sending, together with your drug sample, to Toxicology.
WEDINOS is a harm reduction project, providing an anonymous service, and reflects trends in substance use. It is therefore important that samples are submitted with a completed ‘Effects Record’ and correct postcode information, including samples from outside of Wales. This does not affect your anonymity.
Any samples with web generated reference codes (WXXXXXX) that do not have a completed ‘Effects Record’ or conflicting information re: correct postcode will not have their results published.
Submit your sample – step by step

Step 1:Secure the sample

If the sample is a powder make sure that it is secured before being placed into a WEDINOS bag / leak proof container. The sample can be secured by wrapping it in paper, cling film or foil for example.
Place the sample inside a WEDINOS bag or a leak-proof container, such as a sealable polythene bag or a siftproof container and seal.
N.B. Only one sample type per sample bag.

Step 2:Download / print and complete the Sample and Effects form
Please complete all questions, write N/A if anything is ‘not applicable’.
The effects section is used to record effects experienced, following use of the sample only. If the sample has not yet been used do not complete this section.
