Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), used for the relief of pain and inflammation.

Short term effects

Most individuals who have ingested the recommended / prescribed dosage of NSAIDs will develop no more than nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or more rarely diarrhoea. In more serious poisoning, toxicity is seen in the central nervous system, manifesting as drowsiness, excitation, disorientation, nystagmus, diplopia, convulsions or coma.
