Salbutamol is a sympathomimetic beta2-agonist used in the treatment of asthma and bronchospasm. In breathing disorders, Salbutamol relaxes muscles in the air passages of the lungs. It helps to keep the airways open, making it easier to breathe.
Short term effects
Inhalation:
Tremor and tachycardia may occur following repeated inhalation.
Ingestion:
Systemic effects include nausea and vomiting, dizziness, headache, restlessness, agitation, tremor, dilated pupils, tachycardia, tachypnoea.
